Queer Journeys with Youcef Hadjazi

Queer Journeys with Youcef Hadjazi 21Jul

Visual artist Youcef Hadjazi will spend the next couple of months running a series of photography and story-telling workshops with LGBTQ+ asylum seeking individuals.

The project will cumulate with a digital zine inspired by the journeys of LGBTQ+ asylum seeking participants. This zine will be shared on our website from late July.

This project is in collaboration with Journeys Festival International.

Youcef Hadjazi is an Algerian-born, Kuwait-raised, award-winning Creative Practitioner based between London & Manchester, and working across lens-based media and performance. Since Youcef’s graduation from the Manchester School of Art, he has been actively developing his creative practice, which studies identity politics and notions of diasporic queerness, while deconstructing social notions and adaptions.
