Here n Queer is a street-art photography project focusing on claiming public spaces where queer people have been made to feel unsafe.

‘We fill the streets and exhibition spaces with photos of and words from Queer people living unapologetically. Liverpool is all of our city and everyone should be able to call it home.’

The exhibition will be held at Unity Bar and is open to the public, FREE of charge, whenever Unity Theatre is open.

Here n Queer consists of Luke Bryant, Kolade Ladipo, Iesha Palmer, Francois Sandile Alexander and Felix Mufti.

Luke Bryant’s photography with Kolade Ladipo’s creative direction captures and reclaims these sites with colour and beauty, telling the stories and triumphs of those that have been made to feel unwelcome there.

More recently, the Here n Queer project has developed into a celebration of joy by shooting work that celebrates the spaces where LGBTQIA+ have been made to welcome and free to be themselves. This work aims to focus on the light as well as the dark to show how Liverpool is for everyone despite those that may try and take that away.

Join the Here n Queer team together with Team Homotopia, for a panel discussion in the Unity Bar on Thursday 20th October, 7pm.
