In an eye-opening and no-holds-barred discussion, we’re bringing together a panel of LGBTQ+ artists, creatives and writers to debate diversity, inclusivity and the future of the arts and cultural sector.


Artist, performer and writer, Travis Alabanza is one of the UK’s most significant voices on trans rights and an exciting queer performer.

Novelist Niven Govinden whose latest book ‘This Brutual House’ is set in the heart of the 1980s New York drag ball scene and explores notions of parenthood, belonging and exclusion.

Niloo Sharifi is a poet, writer, editor and videographer. Niloo recently curated Arrival City, an exhibition looking at immigration in the L8 area of Liverpool, held at FACT.

Performing under the moniker Midgitte Bardot Tammy Reynolds is part of the team behind Liverpool’s queer cabaret extravaganza EAT ME + Preach!.

Chair: Carrie Lyell is editor of DIVA, Europe’s leading magazine for lesbians and bi-women.


There will be a BSL interpreter at this event.
