To mark the end of the ground-breaking exhibition ‘April Ashley, portrait of a lady’, Homotopia by special arrangement with April Ashley MBE has produced new prints of the lead image from the exhibition taken by Ken Walker in 1960. The rare and striking image was used as to promote the exhibition and produced for posters, railway stations and even on buses. The photograph is dated, numbered & personally signed by April Ashley, mounted and sealed.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to share a piece of April’s extraordinary heritage with a personal memento of the exhibition. The exhibition curated by Homotopia has attracted over 900,000 visitors at the Museum of Liverpool. The sale of the limited edition photograph directly supports Homotopia’s programme of education and social justice.
