World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day is a yearly campaign to unite in the fight against HIV, show support for people living with HIV and commemorate those who have died of HIV.

Sahir House, Merseyside’s HIV support, training and prevention centre, is part of the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt Conservation Partnership and they are incredibly proud to announce that this year a selection of the quilt panels will be on display around Liverpool for World AIDS Day. The last time the Quilt was on display in Liverpool was in 1992, footage of the event was captured, courtesy of Sandi Hughes.

The World AIDS Day Vigil will take place from 2pm at St George’s Hall, Concert Room with speeches, poetry recitals and moments of remembrance.
