Trans Day of Remembrance

Overview

Trans FlagMonday 20th November is Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day set aside to memorialize those who were killed due to transphobic hatred or prejudice.

Join Homotopia, National Museums Liverpool, Museum of Liverpool, Liverpool Trans, Merseyside Police for a special commemorative event remembering all those affected by transphobic violence around the world.

At 2pm at the Museum of Liverpool there will be a minute’s silence and floral wreath laying. Before this, there will be tours of the exhibition Tales from the city focusing on trans stories.

At 6pm – 8pm we will join the Transgender Day or Remembrance (TDOR) Vigil Liverpool which is held at Exchange Station, Tithebarn Street. More information can be found here >>
