The Leather Boys

Leather Boys

Continuing the festival’s theme “Liberation 50”, Homotopia invites you to a special screening of The Leather Boys.

Set in and around the famous Ace Café, this classic British film of the 60’s follows the lives of two young newly weds, Dot played by Rita Tushingham. (A Taste Of Honey, Dr Zhivago) and Reggie, Colin Campbell (Nuns On The Run) mistaking lust for love, their marriage end up on the rocks. When Reggie moves in with his best mate Pete played by Dudley Sutton (Tinker in Lovejoy) he discovers a new world and relationship.

Directed By Sidney J. Furie (The Ipress File) the film captures the 60’s biker scene brilliantly and paints a picture of social order and sexuality being stretched to new boundaries never before touched by the British cinema.
