Schools Out & LGBT History Month 2018 Launch

Overview

LGBT History Month is a month-long annual event that celebrates the history and achievements of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people every February in the United Kingdom.

Each year has a different theme to work with from the school curriculum, which is led by the organisation ‘School’s Out UK’, and strives to claim and celebrate LGBT history, which has been rendered invisible by our legal and educational systems.

This year, we are focusing on Geography: Mapping the World and we are so excited to be coming to launch this national event at The Museum of Liverpool overlooking the Mersey on November 8th 2017.

We hope you can join us for a night of music, entertainment and networking.

To book up please visit the LGBT History Month Website and register on the Eventbrite link (which will be live to the public from October 6th).

Speakers on the night include:

  • Angela Eagle MP
  • Tony Fenwick MBE (Schools Out/LGBT History Month)
  • Homotopia
  • Museum of Liverpool
  • Caroline Paige
  • And Sue Sanders (Schools Out/LGBT History Month)
