Homotopia is working with Arts Council England on free advice & guidance sessions in April.
ACE will be holding a day of free advice and guidance sessions on 15th April at Unity Theatre, 1 Hope Place, Liverpool L1 9BG (Map Here) from 10 am for those individuals and organisations from across Merseyside who may be interested in making an application for funding from ACE
Under £15000 Grants for the Arts fund.
This is an ideal opportunity for you, or someone you know to have an informal conversation with an Arts Council England Combined Arts or Theatre Relationship Manager about an arts project you want to develop and deliver.
To get the most out of the 30 minute sessions available, it is helpful if you are very familiar with the Grants for the arts guidance and for you to have written in advance a few notes on what you might like to use a grant towards.
This will help you to remain focused when talking about your project, but will give you the opportunity to ask specific questions about the guidance if you feel anything is unclear.
Here are some pointers on what information you might want to include in your notes when you meet the arts council….
What do you want to do?
What art form or art forms will you use? Do you have an idea about which artists you would want to work with and how do you know that the work they produce is good quality.
Who will you do it with or for?
Do you have any partnerships already in place.
Where will you do it?
How much will it cost to do the project?
Who might also fund your project or how might you raise some of the money yourself.
Feel free to bring a laptop or other visual aids to inform us about your work, but they are not essential.
This is what you do if you want to have a conversation about your potential Grants for the Arts project on the 15th April at Unity Theatre
