Share an evening with multi-award-winning author Jackie Kay, MBE, whose
work The Lamplighter, a long poem to commemorate the abolition of the slave
trade, was published in September by Bloodaxe. Her most recent collection
of short stories, Wish I Was Here won the Decibel British Book Award. She
has won the Guardian Fiction Prize for her novel Trumpet, and a Forward
Prize for her collection of poetry The Adoption Papers.
