Solo exhibition by Sadie Lee - portraits of Andy Warhol Superstar - Holly Woodlawn - star of ‘Trash’ and subject of Lou Reed’s song ‘Walk on the Wild Side’.

Holly came from Miami, FLA
Hitchhiked her way across the USA
Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her legs, and then he was a she
She said, “Hey babe, take a walk on the wild side.”
Holly Woodlawn is one of the last survivors of the Warhol ‘Factory, the star of cult films Trash and Women in Revolt.

These are not just pictures of a man dressing as a woman; Holly is both male and female and neither. She is, above all, a Superstar. Homotopia in partnership with Nice 08 proudly presents the exhibition of remarkably revealing and intimate paintings by award-winning artist Sadie Lee.
