---------------------------------
2007 is the anniversaries of the two most important landmarks in 20th century
gay history, the publication of the Wolfenden Report in 1957 and the Sexual
Offences Act in 1967.
Fifty years on, what do these seismic events mean
to lesbians and gay men today? Who were the people who made them happen,
and what were the reactions at the time? Have we forgotten some of our greatest
heroes?
Celebrate the spirit of 1957 & 1967 with an evening of personal testimony,
personal memories, film clips, fashion, drinking and dancing as we step
back in time to the years when it all began.
Contributors include: Maureen Duffy Author and campaigner. Matt Houlbrook University
of Liverpool School Of History . Alan Horsfall, Campaigner and founder of Campaign
for Homosexual Equality.
Homotopia in association with Our Story Liverpool.
