One of the UK’s leading performers, Bette Bourne talks about his life
and work with Rupert Smith. A career that spans from the 1960’s acting
with old friend Ian McKellen to the legendary drag troupe Bloolips which
formed in 1977. Bloolips presented, produced and commissioned OBIE award
winning shows for over 25 years.
Bette has performed with the RSC and at the National Theatre. His award
winning portrayal of Quentin Crisp in the Bush Theatre’s production
of Resident Alien brought him new audiences and international recognition
creating a new perspective to his work.
