In 2001 two German men met over the internet. One wanted to eat another
human being. The other wanted to be eaten. They both got what they wanted.
The world was horrified, but where others saw evil, Rosa von Praunheim saw
loneliness. His latest film, Your Heart in My Brain, is an account of that
alienation: the action takes place in a single claustrophobic location;
the actors, Martin Molitor and Martin Ontrop, perfectly capture the dull
selfishness & latent homosexuality of the two cannibals, and the ending
is as sad as it is bloody. It may prove to be Rosa's masterpiece.
